Sandy Lok, Gas Distribution Center Design Supervisor
My name is Sandy Lok. I’m the gas distribution center design supervisor here in San Francisco. I’m the youngest of six girls, and we all grew up in San Francisco, Chinatown. I love San Francisco. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. This is where I want to work.
The folks here are like family to me. I love the group that I work with. I’m proud to go into work every day. My team and I are working every day to improve the safety of the system.
PG&E’s using new technology to replace the gas pipes and modernizing it with new material. We are also installing new valves. One service at a time, one neighborhood at a time.
We work hard to make sure that all the families and community are safe. That includes my family. This is where we live. I feel like I’m doing something for my community, as well as for my kids. And every day when I go home, and I give them a big hug, I feel like I’ve done my job. This is home.
